Children & Family Worker

Since moving to Hawke’s Bay 20 years ago to start my first teaching position it’s always felt like home. My husband, Tim, and I were both raised in Auckland, but the choice of Hawke’s Bay was an easy one – sun, surf and easy access to skiing. We are now raising a family of our own, 4 amazing young men, and we’re so glad we live in such a great place.

We are an active and sporting family and can often be found at a sports ground, in a gymnasium, on a beach or in the bush. Life is busy and full of fun for me as a mum of boys, as well as a constant learning experience.

Hastings Baptist has been our church family for 18 years and I have been privileged to be on staff for the past 7 years. I love being involved with kids, and especially being able to help in their faith journey.

In my work for the church two days each week I am responsible for our minstry to children and families. In particular overseeing Kidzown, Mainly Music and Playgroup - as well as teaching Bible in Schools and acting as a Toolbox facilitator.
