Loving God With Your Mind

When Jesus was asked what is the greatest commandment, his reply was: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37)

The Christian faith is a thinking faith. There is more to Christianity than the mind, but there is not less. Jesus connects what we frequently disconnect: Love and the Mind. One of the ways that human beings can love God and love their neighbour is by engaging their intellect with the great issues of life. There is a dynamic relationship between our thinking, our feeling and our actions. Truth has a profound ability to stir the affections and energise the will. Truth matters because truthfulness is the character of the God who is there.
