Christianity has some big words and strange ideas. And sometimes when we think we're using the same words or have the same ideas in mind - there is actually a different meaning altogether.

Faith

For many "faith" a religious word that means a blind leap in the dark. But that's not what Christians mean.

Sin

This seems like an old-fashioned word for sneaking a biscuit out of the pantry or a religious code-word for sex. The Bible speaks in much broader terms.

Birth of Jesus

The Christmas story is about more than trees and presents and Santa Claus.

Death of Jesus

At the centre of the Christian faith is the death of the hero.  How can that be anything but a tragic failure?

Resurrection of Jesus

People are routinely resuscitated in hospitals.  When the Bible speaks of Jesus being raised from the dead it means something much more than that.
