Jo Cox, Children & Family Worker, filling need in community. "First Priority", so named because praying for life and work of this church needs to be first priority, preceded by pot luck tea, then  devote ourselves to prayer, run separate children's programme, and aim finishing by 8pm. Church enjoying Pastor Paul's Bible preaching - Genesis introduces whole Bible and answers some of life's big questions. Church meetings now Sunday mid-afternoons allow larger number of members to attend. Looking forward to Wally Behan's visit.

Since the first days of the church, Hastings Baptist submitted regular summaries of church life and events to the New Zealand Baptist Magazine.  As part of the centenary archive those updates have been collected and reproduced here.  It is a catalogue of people and moments that have shaped the church’s story.
